"An Unworkable Theology"

A Pastor friend of mine brought my attention to this article. It describes the theological climate of the Episcopal Church and my friend suggests that our beloved United Methodist Church may be headed in the direction of the EC. Read the article An UnWorkable Theology and give your thoughts.

Christian churches/denominations must stand firm on Biblical teachings and not falter in an effort to improve Sunday attendance. If this practice of "radical inclusion" and teaching of "divine Acceptance" becomes standard practice for any church, then they may as well stare at crystals and do yoga. Why call yourself a Christian church when the whole point of Christ's death and resurrection are minimalized or ignored? If we are acceptable as we are, without "divine Redemption", then there was/is no need for Christ! There is NO "prophetic and Spirit-filled insight" here. The Holy Spirit would not lead us to a practice that turns its back on Christ! Only Satan would.!
Yes, God IS love and that is why He gave us the gift of Jesus Christ! Not to accept us as we are, but to redeem us so that we may become Christlike and enter into the kingdom of heaven. It is not about filling the seats of the American Episcopal church or any other church!
